Northwood amethyst carnival glass good luck bowl

This bowl is absolutely drop dead gorgeous. Superb iridescence and great condition. Made by the Northwood company in America around 1910 they were imported to the UK in large numbers but few are as good and have survived as well as this one.

Spongeware

 

Very attractive Baker & Co c1900 dinner service consisting of one large meat plate, one medium meat plate, 5 dinner plates, 6 breakfast plates, 6 side plates, 2 covered vegetable dishes and a gravy boat.

It is very rare to see an almost complete spongeware service come to the market all items being free from chips or cracks. Some items have crazing which doesn't show because the pieces are in such good clean condition (see photographs).
